Animal ID: 17545Reno (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, FIV

Update from Temp Foster Mom: I have kept Reno at my house off and on over the last month to give him break from the shelter and to get to know him so I could help with his adoption questions. He is awesome boy that still loves to play and his leg problems do not seem to slow him down any nor does it seem to cause him any pain. He gets to running and his legs will go out from under him so when he rounds a corner looks like a Tokyo drift. He gets along with all the cats here and never hisses or growls at them. If they hiss at him he turns and walks/runs away. He wants no conflicts, which being FIV positive is great. He is very ... (Read More)affectionate. A funny thing he does is if I call the dogs or any of the kittens he comes very first and will nudge my legs if I keep calling as if to say, I am here already. He is very curious about everything I do and hangs with me a lot. If I knew what my retirement plans were going to be I would swoop him up but not sure at this time. I would really encourage anyone interested to trial him and see if he will make a good fit. He is back at the Euless shelter now. Juanita Reduced adoption fee of $35--no fee to reputable rescue! Contact the Euless Animal Shelter at 1517 Westpark Way in Euless!!! #17545 - Reno - Reno is an extremely sweet and personable neutered and vaccinated cat. But sadly he tested positive for FIV! Please don't let this deter you from adopting this sweetest of sweet cats---please google FIV positive cats and read all about this disease that is not contagious to humans and can only be spread to another cat thru bodily fluids, or by biting or scratching another cat. So if you don't have any other cats or have a cat that is also FIV positive, then there is no danger. He must be an indoor cat!!! He's had a hard life-- This two year old was hit by a car, but the good news is he should make a full recovery. X-rays show no broken bones, and two vets have agreed he just needs time to heal. Otherwise, he is one big loving baby who adores people and will make a great indoor only companion. (Less)

Animal ID: 17627 FosterBoomer Snoopy (male)

Pointer Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered

Boomer Snoopy 17627- This young pointer/hound mix has had a very rough start to life, but you would never know it by his super friendly personality. He is around two years old, and gets along well with other dogs. Boomer Snoopy was dumped in the country near Jacksboro. Sadly, this sweet baby waited at the place where his owner dropped him off, but no one came back for him! We have no idea know long he stayed by the road alone, starving, and waiting for someone who would never come. After staying at the Jacksboro shelter for a few weeks, he was taken to the vet. Now he is on the road to recovery, but he is heartworm positive. We are grateful ... (Read More)that he has a sponsor who will pay for his heartworm treatment. He is now neutered, and desperately needs a foster or forever loving home during his heartworm treatment. Boomer Snoopy is staying at the Euless shelter until someone comes to rescue him. Animal ID: Foster HomeMiles (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Miles, a ten month old lab mix, also answers to his nickname Red. This sweet boy was recently neutered, is Heartworm negative, and totally up to date on all his shots. Miles is a very energetic and loving indoor dog who is potty trained. He loves running, fetching, and just learned to sit while at his new foster home. Miles is nonagressive, very friendly and actually never meets a stranger, human or animal. His current two (dog) roommates are females and just set in their ways. They are not embracing his puppy ways too well, but Miles never gets rough with them or irritated. He is great with other dogs! Previously, Miles was living in ... (Read More)Kennedale with a Grandmother caring for his young adult owner who took ill, but neither could keep him due to their circumstances. Now Miles is in foster home with me, while we find him a forever home. He is a good natured rambunctiousness and strong pup who doesn't know his own strength. Miles needs a stable and loving home with lots of room. He needs exercise with walks or would make a great running partner. Since he is good with other dogs, he could also make daily trips to the dog park. Miles has been through so many changes in his young life, so his next stop needs to forever. If you are looking for a an intelligent, friendly dog with lots of energy, then Miles would be the perfect dog for you. His adoption fee is $125 and includes all vetting. He will be microchipped at the Trinity High School pet fair on September 30, and his adoption fee includes the chip. Contact foster mom Melissa at melisssh@yahoo.com for more information! (Less)

Animal ID: 17505 FosterScamper (female)

Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Scamper #17505 - Scamper had a recent trip to the vet and now has a clean bill of health. She is spayed, UTD on shots, and heartworm negative. Scamper weighs about 24 pounds but could stand to put on a couple more and was estimated by the vet to be about 4 years old. Scamper is a smooth coat cocker spaniel mix (possibly beagle?) and has the bob tail to boot. She knows how to sit and is very food-motivated. Scamper appears to be house broken and her foster mom keeps her in the kitchen while she is gone at work or out running errands. Scamper has two canine foster siblings and two feline foster sisters and gets along well with all of ... (Read More)them. She is still learning how to play with the bigger dogs and gets scared from time to time when they chase her, but it's just a learning curve. Scamper doesn't bother the cats at all even when they are in close proximity. Sadly, some man probably scared Scamper early on in life and she hasn't forgotten it because she seems to have some fear of men. Foster mom and her friends are working on that with lots of patience and treats - lots of treats! In addition to her love of treats, Scamper loves to go for a walk! We have been using a front hook harness with her and she does great with that. If you are looking for a little sweetheart who would love to be by your side, please consider meeting Scamper today.     Since Corn Dog's buddy, Fletcher was adopted, he has been renamed 'Charlie' to help him start his new life's journey! I mean what's a Corn Dog without a Fletcher? A 'Charlie'! Charlie #17498 is a sweet and playful little guy. He is about 1 year old and is 28 pounds. He is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and neutered. Charlie is pretty well house trained although he still tinkles a little when he gets excited or nervous but is getting better each day. He still has a lot of puppy mannerisms. Health: Vaccinations Current

Queen Khaleesi #17491 - Adult Mountain Dog mix - Queen Khaleesi is a regal full figured goddess of a dog. She is very quiet and demure and actually just seems depressed by her surroundings. She came in as a stray and I'm sure she's wondering where her family is. I mean how can they not be missing this gorgeous gal? She is very laid back and gets along with all the other dogs. She could stand to lose a few pounds but actually she is just more dog to love, right? I never heard her bark---mostly she just looked at us with ... (Read More)those sad pleading eyes. Animal ID: Foster HomeCookie (female)

Black Mouth Cur Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Cookie is a gorgeous black mouth cur. She looks a lot like a yellow lab, but please do not mistake her for one. Her personality is exactly that of the cur. Please read up on this breed before deciding to adopt her. They make excellent hunting dogs and Cookie's prey drive is extremely strong. If you go for a walk with her, you need to be extremely aware of your surroundings and must always be the dominate one on the walk. Cookie will need training on a leash if you want to walk her but with a large backyard, she would not need daily walks. She also does not do well at dog parks as she is aggressive with other dogs. Although she has a ... (Read More)dominate personality, Cookie will roll over and expose her belly if you raise your voice to her. She is extremely submissive when it comes to humans, but she does not like other dogs. Scars on her face and body suggest she has been in fights. If you can be the dominate person in the relationship, she will be a good match for you. She is perfect in the house, leaving the home untouched (other than her spot on the couch), she is completely house broken and learned how to use her foster mom's dog door. She is protective and will bark only when she feels threatened. She is a good watch dog. Otherwise, she is completely quiet. Although she can be difficult on a lease and will not do well at the dog park, she would do well with a large yard that she can chase squirrels and get some exercise. A home with a nice yard and dog door would be perfect for her. She is good with children and protective of them. She weighs about 60 pounds, is current on meds, is spayed, and has the softest fur on her face. She is very intelligent. She should be watched around cats, but once she is around one for while, she is fine. Again, if a cat runs, her prey drive will force her to chase it. Otherwise, she sleeps with her foster mom and a very defiant cat and everyone gets a good night sleep. She is all cur, so if this breeds looks like a perfect dog for your lifestyle, you could not get a better dog than Cookie. Contact foster mom Lisa at lisacassell@yahoo.com for more information! Animal ID: 17270 BoardingMarlon Brando (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Kitten

Marlon Brando ID 17270 - Marlon Brando is gorgeous classic orange tabby. His marbling is so unique and I tried to capture that on his body pictures. I see more gray classics then orange so thought he was quite beautiful. He also has a bright orange nose so thought about Jimmy Durante for a name but thought his friendly seductive nature was more like Brando. Marlon Brando was brought in with 2 other cats, also young males like himself but they were already neutered and he is not, (yet) so probably not related but good buds. Brando is sweet and loves attention and to be petted and reciprocates in loud purrs. Look no further than the ... Animal ID: Foster HomeNora (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Kitten

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Reduced adoption fee of $60!! Contact foster mom Melissa at mkgoellner@gmail.com for more info! Nora has really grown up to be a beautiful cat! She's really coming out of her shell little by little. I have made progress where she would rub on me and pur for attention in the bathtub and she will allow you to pet her on the cat tree or if she's sleeping. She would do best as a companion cat for another cat. She's very social with cats just not people. She acts like she's afraid of people and there's no rhyme or reason because she's been raised in my home and her siblings were not like her. She may never be a cuddle buddy, but she still ... Animal ID: 16975 FosterJaxson (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I picked up Jaxson and he is a great foster dog!! He gets along well with all of my pack, and learned the doggie door on one try!! He's a wonderful dog and will make a wonderful pet for some lucky family!! Contact foster dad Bill at youcalltheshots@mac.com for more information!! Jaxson #16975 is from the Carrollton Shelter, and was in danger of being euthanized there before he was transferred to the Euless shelter. That would have been to horrible because this young guy is so special. He appears to be around one year old, and is extremely sweet and friendly. He also loves to play, gets along well with other dogs, and is just a happy ... (Read More)boy. Jaxson weighs around 50 pounds, so is a good medium size. He needs some leash training, but is smart, so will learn quickly with some patience. He is neutered and ready to go to his new family for the holidays. Please consider adopting Jaxson because this baby has been in a shelter since September. He deserves a chance at a happy and loving home. (Less)

Animal ID: FosterElsa (female)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sweet Elsa had a rough start in life and was let down several times by several people. She was severely burned on her private area as a young puppy. After coming to rescue and getting the treatment she needed she was adopted a few times and was not given the attention or time that she needed and now has lasting issues but has been with me as my foster for over a year and has come so far. She is a great dog and loves people very much. She is great with kids as well! She is house trained and crate trained and loves to cuddle. However she can be dog reactive and has been in training for her dog aggression and is doing so great. She does great ... (Read More)with my dogs and fosters after she takes time to get use to them. Elsa would do best in a home as an only pet or with someone that can give her time to adjust to the existing pets and knows how to do proper dog introductions. Elsa can jump a six foot wooden fence so she must be monitored when in the backyard or needs an 8 foot fence. I keep her on a long line (just a really long leash) in the backyard so she cants jump my fence. I would highly recomend this for her. Elsa is about 3.5 years old now and weighs about 50 lbs. She is so sweet and does not deserve anything that life has dealt her. She needs a true forever home that will love her as family and give her the attention and care she so deserves. Elsa has an e-collar, no jump harness, a long line, and a muzzle that have all been donated to her and will go to her new home with her. Animal ID: 14763 Foster HomePancho aka Brazos (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Pancho has a sponsored adoption fee so his fee is now only $50!! What a great deal on a great dog!! Pancho (ID14763) Pancho is almost 3 years old and about 55 lbs. He is up to date with all his vaccines and vet visits. Pancho has always been very shy and scared when meeting new people; it took him a good week to get used to me and to his new home, but after that, he has been nothing but gentle and playful. Pancho is very smart, he can sit, shake, lay down and somewhat roll if we are in luck, he also knows to stay (not for too long though) and is very gentle when receiving his treats. Pancho has a lot of energy, he really enjoys being ... (Read More)outside and playing. He does tend to pull when on a leash but is much better know than he was a couple years ago. He does need exercise regularly, the more the better. Pancho sleeps on his own pillow in the hallway and knows that is his spot, but he sometimes likes to sneak into the room in the middle of the night and lay on the floor at the foot or side of the bed, he is a good roommate. He is currently not allowed on furniture and respects that very well. Pancho is great with kids, playful but gentle. He does tend to get very excited when somebody comes in, but always with joy and energy. We recommend no kids under 10. He gets along great with other dogs, wanting to play all the time. His two weaknesses are squirrels and cats. he definitely still needs to learn how to control his excitement around them, so I would recommend a cat free environment for him. Pancho appears to be a border collie/lab mix. Contact foster Mom Michelle at mssquared@hotmail.com for more information! (Less)

Animal ID: 14885-FosterRegan (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Regan has adjusted VERY well since being here. He just wants to be loved. After spending many weeks in a kennel, I took the chance that Regan just needed to burn off a LOT of pent up energy. Many people judged him as being aggressive, but I felt the only thing wrong with Regan was he needed to be active. Sure enough, I introduced him to our small pack, and he became a completely different dog. Regan's age and breed cries out for activity. It didn't take long at all for him to warm up to our dogs, and began playing with them. He will chase a ball for as long as you will throw it. His perfect home would have another medium to large dog that ... (Read More)will play with him, and a doggie door. He does not like cats. I sincerely believe with the right trainer/training, this sweet boy can learn ANYTHING. I am very impressed with him. Someone is going to end up with a GREAT dog. Needs a home with another dog as he is very playful and loves canine companionship!! He is not kennel/crate trained, but IS doggie door trained. (Regan is not good with cats so should be in a No Cat Home!! Also no birds!! Brings out the Pointer instincts in him!!) I am available to any and all questions!!
